His message of hope and resilience has touched the lives of many and continues to make a positive impact in the fight against addiction.
I am dedicated to the addiction recovery community, with efforts of continuous service. As a recovering drug addict/alcoholic with a co-occurring diagnosis, my drive comes from lived experience of addiction, knowing the effects on family and being in the judicial system since the age of 13.
I have rejoined the educational world by becoming a student at CCBC and earning certifications in CPRS, ADT and many others, with the goal of making an impact in the recovering community.
Currently, my efforts are focused on streamlining collaboration of treatment and after care amongst substance abuse rehabilitation centers in the state of Maryland.
I also try to reunite lost loved ones, who are still in active addiction, by pounding the streets looking for answers and lost souls, to give them a chance to rejoin society as productive members of their communities.
Joe gives a significant amount of gratitude to the NEW HORIZON program of Thurmont MD, that helped

As a proud mother of three wonderful grown sons, I have dedicated my life not only to my family but also to empowering others who have faced similar challenges. My journey has not been without its struggles; I have navigated the complexities of PTSD, which has shaped my perspective and fueled my commitment to advocacy. Rather than allowing my trauma to define me, I transformed my pain into purpose, striving to create a brighter future for those affected by intimate partner violence and the issue of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women (MMIW).
In a remarkably short time, I have built a vibrant community focused on raising awareness and educating others about the critical issues surrounding intimate partner violence. My work aims to illuminate the often-overlooked stories of survivors and to foster a supportive environment that encourages healing and resilience.
One of the most significant milestones in my advocacy journey occurred in December 2022 when Bill 17 was passed in my honor. This legislation represents a vital step towards addressing the systemic issues surrounding intimate partner violence and serves as a testament to the power of perseverance and community advocacy.
In July 2023, I had the incredible opportunity to be featured in a short documentary titled "She is Your Neighbour," filmed in Waterloo, Ontario. This project allowed me to share my story and highlight the importance of community support and awareness in combating violence. Through this documentary, I hope to inspire others to speak out, seek help, and understand that they are not alone in their struggles.
I am deeply passionate about helping others navigate their own recovery journeys. Together, we can turn pain into passion and power, ensuring that fewer individuals endure the long and arduous path I once faced. I firmly believe that by fostering open conversations and promoting education, we can create a world where every individual feels safe, valued, and supported.
